This morning I got an email from my dear friend Flannery over at Prone to Whimsy, alerting me to the fact that she dedicated a short story to me on her blog.
Unlike some of our blogging friends who have intentionally checked out of our little webiverse, I refuse to let CPW die even though I rarely write here any more. I continue to grasp at the thin hope that I will one day take up my virtual quill and relive my golden days of blogging. Until then, the world will just have to wait for my inspiration to return.
Meanwhile, please be a bunch of dears and email me if you write something you think I would enjoy. By now you all know the kinds of things that will get you my undivided attention: tales to satisfy my sick Mormon fascination; pictures of cats; anything that would make the average person cringe in embarrassment; and of course, anything about me.
I'm so lame that I don't even do that thing where you can get notified if someone links to your blog. All that stuff seems to take so damn long to figure out, and I'm old now.
Love and coasters,
CP

Thanks for the link, dear CP. I'll continue to email you. Your voice is missed.
Between Facebook and Twitter, everyone is down to blogging all of two times a month. Sigh...
I think you'd enjoy everything I write, every day.
I'm not completely dead! I dedicate this comment to you. I miss you and your coasters!
I thought you just didn't love us anymore;)
Hey CP! Haven't seen or heard from you in awhile but I figure things are going dandy nonetheless. Hope all is well.
Now listen here! I need to hear the end of the Melissa Gilbert story!!!
I never intentionally left, I am just terribly ADD and easily distracted by Facebook and work and school. I just did a fly through of the blog links and realized I really miss it. Perhaps it's time for a post.
I know that you are writing for other online publications, but unless you tell us where else you are being published, I for one won't know where else to find you. I want to read your stories, but I haven't got the time to go searching for you all over the Internet.
Your cousin Cathy
Hi Cathy,
No worries - I was writing for another blog for a while but I dropped out because they were causing me to spend too much time editing (and they actually suggested that I remove the DIALOGUE from one of my stories which to me was blasphemy - that was the best part of the story!) I am hoping to regain my writing mojo soon and when I do I will certainly notify you! I also owe you an email explaining a really weird thing that happenend on Facebook that caused to me have to unfriend a whole group of people temporarily - I think you were in that group so remind me to refriend you (I'm barely ever on FB anymore anyway....)
I thought that the reason you weren't on Facebook was because you were avoiding your boss at work who friended you! Facebook is always doing crazy things anyway, like losing people or losing posts, or duplicating posts - it's a new surprise very day to see what it is going to do next! I keep in touch with your sister Margie by e-mail and Facebook quite a bit too. That's weird that some idiot would try to edit your posts, especially in a way that would change the content. Anyway, no worries!
Cathy
