Poor George tastes his first corn dog, California State Fair, Sacramento, August 2007

Our friend Sarah looks on from across the table as Poor George bites into his first ever corn dog. He gave it a 5 out of 10. I can't help it if he's out of his mind.

Update!!

I was sitting here being impressed with myself for taking such a cute picture and was marveling at all the bright colors - so I decided to enlarge to take a closer look and just noticed the woman behind George - she is covering her mouth and has this horrified look on her face. I'm even more impressed with myself now!

is that 5 on a corn dog scale or 5 on a food scale? cuz they're not the same scale.

that is ONE BIG, LOOOONG CORNDOG, mah friend. I feel withered in th' loins 'cuz we never grew 'em THAT big, hot n' long out in th' Midwest.

Is that an umbrella coming out of that corndog or is he just happy to see you?

The corn dog in question was an experiment gone awry. Now that I think of it, we were very close to a nuclear plant. I also could not figure out how to get the mustard on the dog, I LOVE mustard on my nitrate -laden meats.

Y'all know how to live, CP. We have several state fairs down here in Georgia — many serving corn dogs. C'mon down!

Sho nuff! Best corn dawgs in the world down South. Who can eat just one.

BTW I am still wading through the Mormon Temple dogma. Whew unbelieveable! Planets?

Oh wow, I just noticed, that's more dog than corn. My husband calls those "trainers". (hehe)

Maybe I'll finally have one now that I have PG for inspiration.

CORN DOGS! WOO HOO

Did you follow up with a deep-fried Twinkie, or some deep-fried Oreo cookies? I hope you did.

Never had one, don't plan to. I'll stick with my Kraft Pizza mix.

yeah dale they look pretty gross huh!
I've never had one either, and don't plan on it.

PG, the corn dog vendor is supposed to slather the mustard on with a basting brush before he gives it to you.

I love corn dogs. We call'em pronto pups here in the South.

p.s. That corn dog looks nasty! :-P
Is the woman horrified because PG was doing something unsavory with it?

Jin: The PG is never savory, why, one of the CPs adjectives of the PG is "sweet"...

She's horrified because he's eating it without mustard! The horror!
