Jeff

I clearly remember the first time I visited The Official Site of Grant Miller because the first piece I read was entitled My Cat is a Godless, Killing Machine. What's not to like about a post like that? Mr. Miller had me hooked with the title alone.

Well Grant, I believe your cat Bully has finally met his match. Blogfriends, meet my new hero, Jeff.

Jeff is a stunning orange tabby who guards his outdoor domain with a vigilance worthy of Hannibal Lecter. Nothing on four legs escapes his deadly clutches.

We must get down on our collective knees and worship at his feline altar. Oh Lord Jeff, we beseech thee, have mercy on our mortal flesh. We beg you not to rip our heads off like you did to that snake.

In Jeff's holy name I pray,
CP

Mine is AC-a black & white tuxedo who fears no dog, man or rat. He is the Master of the Universe!

Yeah, the squirrel episode did me in, too. It was the last closeup, with the larger-than-actual-size flies. Too much.

That is impressive. Jeff reminds me of the cat in the Incredible Shrinking Man.

My terrier mutt Duffy is humbled by this.

ALL - yes, it's pretty stomach churning. Which brings me back repeatedly.

Old Lady - well, I'd like to witness a throwdown between AC and Jeff. Then we'll see who's really Master of the Universe. Would you put money on him?

Bubs, if I had a dog of any size I wouldn't let it anywhere near this cat. He'd tear it limb from limb.

Ed would probably be good at this. So far he's been limited to indoor pests, which include earwigs, spiders, and his favorite, the big hairy moths. He now regularly checks inside our lampshades looking for a tasty treat. Sadly he has now shredded the inside of one of nice lampshades.

That cat just looks badass. Who needs a watchdog with a cat like that sitting outside your home. Just keep him away from my pet snake Alistair.

Sic the cat on Martha Dumptruck and see what happens.

Jeff looks quite a bit like my dearly departed Fred, who was also a killing machine. Fred could jump straight up 3-4 feet to take down butterflies in the garden. I also saw her rip a bird out the air and kill it.

God I loved that cat.

I have tried to sic Bob on spiders and stuff, but she has absolutely no interest.

AC is pretty tough, I have a pretty good story about him I will tell this week then you tell me!

Ten-S, what rodent to we have to kill to get you to post more Ed pictures?

Creepy, I forgot about your snake. Great menagerie.

Dale, great idea, but I'm pretty sure it would be very scary. Plus, Martha has a bunch of cats of her own - why is that not surprising?

Lu, maybe she has no interest because she doesn't appreciate having a boy's name. But I agree, Fred was an awesome cat. Talkative, but awesome.

Old Lady, we eagerly await the stories.
