Thanks - there was even more food than I took pictures of - George went a little crazy with the ordering. We had several meals of leftovers.

Again, the poor George is unwillingly involved in scandal. Yes, there was too much food that was ordered due to:

a) One of our honored guests did not like the dumplings, so I ordered a plate of cold sesame noodles - who on earth doesn't like sesame noodles?!!

b) The CP told our youngest diner that said noodles were fish guts or something really hideous. This prompted the youngun to completely lose his appetite. By this time, I had already ordered the other food and it was too late to stop any of the orders. So what was originally a table of 7 turned out to be a table of only 6 diners, of which the CP was spending way too much energy micro-managing our guests in the "proper" technique of soup dumpling eating, and therefore, did not fill the CP chipmunk cheeks in preparation for a long winter.

Hence, I once again must exonerate myself from any wrongdoing.

Heeheehee! *Giggles*

You are a 'poor george' aren't you?

Ok...I would have eaten ALL the cold sesame noodles! YUM!

Well, at least cp doesn't make you cook ALL his meals for him...he did admit that you do the majority of the cooking, but my husband won't even go out to eat with me! :-(

poor jin

hmm...I can't recall if he said how your cooking is?
cp? Is George a good cook or a great one? Inquiring minds want to know!

Ok, I'm offering a truce to poor george in saying that his cooking in the BEST! In fact, his cooking has resulted in my being 25 pounds heavier than when he met me 9 years ago.

Ancient Chinese Saying:

It is not the dish of food that makes you fat, but the mouth on your face.

I just want to go to New York so I can have those dumplings again. And to see you and poor George.

It would be FABU to spend time with you again Sharon. We totally enjoyed taking you to Joe's Shanghai for soup dumplings, but now we prefer the SDs from a place called Goodie's which is just a hop and skip away. These dumplings are not as "soupy" and are smaller and more delicate than the ones at Joe's, and I feel they are a bit more refined. Maybe at Goodie's your daughter would eat more than one!!! wink wink...
